A fantastic card at from Sheffield comes to us on Boxnation this weekend and we start with an interesting undercard fight as Audley Harrison makes another comeback to take on unbeaten American prospect Deontay Wilder.
He has been carefully matched all his career and has a 100% win and KO ratio, knocking everyone out he has met within four rounds. We’ll find out a bit more about the big man on Saturday but you have to have deep reservations given how Golden Boy have matched him so far.
Audley comes back again, he comes into the bout off the back of winning Betfair’s Prizefighter for a second time in February beatingt journeymen Claus Bertino and Derrick Rossy either side of avenging his defeat to Martin Rogan.
Harrison has been in fights like this before and froze, he has all the amatuer talent in the World and must live with a lot of regret now about what his career has become, he never achieved his dream of being a World champion and he never will.
He says he’ll retire if he loses but you wouldn’t bet on him turning up in a prizefighter in 2014 whatever happens.
Anything could happen by the looks of it, Wilder does seem to have power but it’s hard to know how much given what he has faced, we know Harrison will hit the canvas at some point if he faces someone with any pop so it has to be expected.
I think Wilder will win after a nervous opening. I don’t think this will be a pretty fight.
